Customers are mixed about the scrollability of the computer input device. Some mention that the mouse rocks, has 5 buttons, smooth or click scrolling, and the ability to select click or spin. "...The design is a plastic but nice and smooth texture pleasant to the touch, with a nice rubberized grip on each side...." Read more

"...The scroll wheel is stellar - I love the ability to change between precise and rapid scrolling...." Read more

150 customers mention93 positive57 negative

Customers are mixed about the buttons on the computer input device. Some like the side buttons for use when web browsing forward or backward, the back and forward buttons are convenient, and the option to program the scroll wheel left. However, others say that the scroller does not act as a middle button, the left mouse button starts to get wonky, and that the buttons stick and need to be reconfigured 1-2 times per week.

"...And the scroll wheel has a nice feature where you can click to change the physical feedback of the scroll...." Read more

"...to spin a very tiny amount after you have used it, or it is very sensitive and will continue to scroll even though you aren't using it...." Read more

"...The side buttons are nice as well, possibly a little too easy to press, but nonetheless they feel right where they are...." Read more

"These mice rock. 5 buttons, smooth or click scrolling (switchable), zero lag, low profile, work on just about every surface, great battery life..." Read more

157 customers mention18 positive139 negative

Customers are dissatisfied with the click quality of the mouse. They mention that it double clicks all the time, has serious issues with the left click, and will click on things when it's not meant to. The wheel will either click as you scroll or the other mode will be smooth. It also clicks on things that are not meant for it to click on. The buttons will start double-clicking on their own after about 18 months. The clicking is loud and obnoxious.

"...The wheel will either click as you scroll, or the other mode will be smooth. This smooth mode allows you to scroll very smoothly...." Read more

"...The side buttons are nice as well, possibly a little too easy to press, but nonetheless they feel right where they are...." Read more

This is hands down the best mouse I've ever owned
5 Stars
This is hands down the best mouse I've ever owned
This is hands down the best mouse I've ever owned. In fact, I have several of them, one at work, a couple at home (one for the desktop one for the laptop) and a couple extras in case one gets busted or lost. Works lovely on both Mac and Windows. While it seems some have had issues with some phantom / double clicking issue I've been lucky in that I've never had any problems like that. Perhaps it's sub-model differences...that is, the Anywhere MX I'm currently using is definitely from the first generation (not an Anywhere MX 2). BUT I see in the product image the middle button is metallic / chrome, whereas on my logitech the middle button is black, otherwise it's identical to my Anywhere MX.This little mouse may be a bit on the small side for some...but I've found it to be just fine for every single computer activity. Creative work, browsing, gaming, it's all good. Battery lasts a good while (I use Eneloop rechargeables) and I love being able to pair both my mouse and my Logitech keyboard to the same receiver. The design is a plastic but nice and smooth texture pleasant to the touch, with a nice rubberized grip on each side. You can easily turn the mouse on or off with a switch on the underside of the mouse, which I do to save power when not in use (even though I can't say for sure if that makes a difference vs. the mouse's own power save capabilities when it's not in use). Small but functional and helpful back/forward buttons on the side are helpful when I remember to use them. The middle button is nice to use when I want to tab between applications. And the scroll wheel has a nice feature where you can click to change the physical feedback of the scroll. One setting you will feel virtually no feedback as you scroll the mouse, very smooth ... but in my opinion it leads to over-scrolling of page content so I like using the other setting where you feel a little feedback and the scrolling is purposely reduced for more precision control. It does produce a sound but I don't mind it.Lastly, the Darkfield technology (which I'm sure at this point is old hat compared to all the logitech and non-logitech offerings these days) is really great...the fact that you can use the mouse on reflective surfaces is really helpful. Heck, you can even use the mouse on your pantleg! Though I find denim jeans work better than khakis.I'm not sure if I'll ever need another mouse again (unless I somehow lose all of the Anywhere MX's in my current collection). But I'm also curious about the Anywhere MX 2. Will I try one? Only time will tell. Until then, loving my Anywhere MX 1st generation fleet.
