1. The phone I was using when I ordered these headphones was a Samsung Galaxy Note II. The Bluetooth connection did not work at all on my Samsung, it would connect to Bluetooth then disconnect, so just as a heads up I feel that they should state that these headphones will not be compatible with older phones. My solution? I bought the new iPhone 6 Plus, which I feel shouldn't have been the solution to this but I decided to take the easy way out.
2. I feel that these headphones should have an app available where you can have an equalizer for your music, levels of noise cancelling etc, similar to the Parrot Zik 2.0.
Overall, I find these headphones really amazing, I love the added bass to the headphones that wasn't there on the H6's.
Overall these are great headphones. Let me preface this by saying that neither my friend nor I are audiophiles, but my friend recently purchased the over-ear Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 bluetooth ANC headphones, so we were able to compare the two. Both pairs sound very similar - equally loud; equally satisfying sound. The soundstage is a little larger on the Sennheisers and the bass is a little heavier, but the on-ear B&O H8s have noticeably better treble response, very-slightly better ANC, and with the B&O app you can tune them to the 'WARM' equalizer setting to the point that the two pairs are almost indistinguishable (if you want the heavier bass).
I've owned these headphones for about 6 weeks now and use them 5 days a week to listen to music or movies while I'm at work.
It's worth noting that I have a pretty small head, so I wear the headphones near their smallest size, but wearing them is pretty comfortable for 3-4 hours at a stretch (before I feel an uncomfortable amount of pressure on my ears).
Again, they sound really good, and they look great (I regularly get compliments).
THE BAD:
I've been using these headphones with my iPhone 6, and the bluetooth often cuts out randomly for a split-second when I'm walking around town with my phone in my front pants pocket. It is VERY possible that this is an iPhone issue and not a headphones issue (there was a recent iOS update to address bluetooth connectivity issues for audio devices, and it's behaved better since, so I didn't take a star off as a result). Still probably worth considering if you're just gonna be walking around town with wireless headphones and an iPhone 6.
My second complaint is that the touch controls drive me nuts: They're pretty finicky for me, where I'll tap them to pause the music and it doesn't pause or I'll tap them to resume and they don't register it. My guess is that they're designed for larger fingers than mine, but as a result increasing or decreasing the volume is less smooth / predictable than I'd like too (because of the intermittent pickup). This probably won't be an issue for any guy who works out or does work with his hands, but I'm a programmer so my hands are pretty "delicate".
Additionally, when I tap the right ear cup to play/pause, the sound is very loud in my ear... almost like having a q-tip hit my ear drum -- not that it physically hurts, but it kind of sounds/registers in my head like having something bang around inside my ear. Not my favorite experience, so I'll usually use the app to pause or wait until I've taken them off of my head to tap the side.
Finally, I have a minor concern about durability. This concern could be totally unfounded and I will come back to update my review sometime in the future (maybe around 12/2016?), but while I'm walking around with the headphones around my neck the right side has started to make a metal-on-metal clicking noise like the earpiece or the joint where the earpiece swivels is loose and wiggling. It doesn't seem wobbly at this time, but I suspect it may become wobbly eventually.
Luckily for me I actually have a B&O store in my city, so if I have issues I plan to walk them in and ask for help, but if you have any concerns that you might not have the same luxury or ability to get service if you have issues, then I'd recommend buying either directly through B&O's website so that there aren't any questions about the warranty/purchase date OR maybe look for another pair?
Hope this review helps!
Circling back on this review. Since the day I purchased these I've had problems. I have always had the latest iPhone, and right now I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and have it in my back pocket, and when I go to bend over it cuts off. The volume needs to go a bit louder to accommodate lower recorded songs. My first pair of noise cancelling headphones, so they do make a difference in regard to noise cancelling. I now exclusively use them to mow my lawn, but if I bend over to do something it cuts off. WTF? Typical B&O, way too expensive relative to practicality and fidelity. Sure I paid for design on my other B&O products over the decades, but these headphones do not provide 200% more aesthetic design in regard to the competition. I don't wear them in public, so exclusivity means nothing. They fall off if I try to get active, so they're useless for jogging or any activity. The soft ear molds do feel good. :) The finger touch controls are functional and simple. They won't destroy your hearing, because they won't go loud enough. They take 3-4 times to try to connect to Bluetooth as well. It is painful connecting! You feel like you won something when they finally connect. Especially to my Mac computers. My A9, A6 and Beolit 15 connect on demand. In summary, they failed on these, and I got screwed on spending too much. You always spend too much with B&O, but the value circles back with quality, decent sound, and huge artistic design with exclusivity.

Any cons? Well, I preferred having non rechargeable batteries on the Bose because it meant not to have to worry about running out of juice for the headphones on long haul flights. Having said that they recharge easily on a phone mobile battery and I always carry one of these on long haul flights. Also, the on ear controls for the sound (on the right ear) don't work very well for me and most of the time I end up using the controls on my phone.
Overall, though, I think that these are by far the best I have tried. I have sold my Bose and use these most happily.
The sound quality of the Beoplay H8 is second to none, and at the end of the day, this is what really matters the most. I've heard my friends Beats (not bad, just incredibly overpriced), Audio Technicas (MSR7s - half the price), Momentums (really good but not for me)... you name it, they're all good, but after using these headphones everything else lacks a certain finesse, these headphones sound so crystal clear and succinct that anything else just sounds unnatural now. These are easily the best sounding headphones I've had the pleasure of wearing.
The build quality of the H8 is insane, you can't help but notice the use premium materials throughout the product, they even smell good!
Despite what a lot of people have been saying, I haven't noticed any issues with Bluetooth. My S7 Edge pairs flawlessly with the headphones and apart from the very infrequent split-second disruptions, works beautifully as a daily driver, both in transit and while working.
Battery life is good, 14 hours seems about average for these headphones.
The noise isolation on these headphones is great! To give an idea of how good the noise cancellation is, I've used these headphones on planes a couple of times, and they almost completely blocked out a loud jet engine.
These headphones are NOT perfect however. Given the hefty price tag you should of course be demanding perfection, and there's unfortunately a few limitations you should be aware of before making your purchase.
It's worth noting that the touch controls only work if you're connected via Bluetooth, this isn't a massive issue, but can certainly be annoying and does feel like an unnecessary drawback.
Upon arriving home after a long day I often remove the headphones without first turning them off. Of course when I wish to use them the battery has drained, and it's back to wired connectivity for me! Whilst this is largely a user error, I'd like the headphones to have only an (Auto) and (On/Pair) switch (I.e. no "Off"), so the phones can automatically turn off if left idle.
Again concerning power, the device will only warn you that battery power is getting low when they reach ~10% power, with an audible knocking sound. Implementing a gesture into the touch control to feedback the battery percentage would be appreciated and add peace of mind.
Again, concerning battery life, it does feel like it takes an age to charge the headphones. 3 hours or more is not uncommon. I'd like future generations to feature fast charging technologies so users don't have to wait so long to use their headphones!
Finally, these headphones don't please everyone, some reviewers say the H6 produces an even better sound, and they're probably right. That being noted I see nothing wrong with the H8's sound, and find the added portability hugely beneficial for use as a daily driver.
Despite their small flaws, I'm a massive fan of the Beoplay H8, and feel that they represent great value for money. I can see myself using them for years to come, and would absolutely recommend you get some for yourself.
