So now I'll break it down to my pros and cons.
Pros: Size is great length is perfect for my 5' 6" frame, weight is perfect for carrying up and down stairs in a tri-level home, and pushing around the house very quickly.
-The suction is great for a stick vac, compared to ones I've had that were cord less, so I assume it is from the cord. None the less it's great for picking up everything you want to and somethings you don't intend to pick up.
-The specific pivot action is great for getting around objects like the commode in the bathroom, end tables and other furniture that are difficult to move.
Cons: The cord could be another 1-2 feet longer.
-It's very loud! It's not just the humming of the vacuum on the hard floors but it also makes a loud motor sound that is not an actual mechanical problem it's just from using the brushes on the hard floor. WHICH the directions say DO NOT use the brushes on a hard floor BUT in order to pick up anything other than pet fur you HAVE to use the brushes, so that's a con.
-If you bump the vacuum a little too hard the canister will pop off! It doesn't happen often but customers should be made aware of that!
So in total, I really like this vacuum because all the pros outweigh the cons. It makes cleaning up daily and right before we have leave for a showing so much easier! This is the vacuum I've suggested to friends that are getting ready to sell their house, too. Get it, it's so worth the money because it actually saves you so much time!
Yes it is small, lightweight and inexpensive, but it does the job better than any other vacuum I've ever used, including my parents $350 Oreck and the Dyson Pet Control model I just got rid of.
This little Hoover is picking up dog hair from the previous renter and I've been in this studio a year and a half... It picks up little fuzzies that stubbornly stick to the carpet (might take a couple passes), it picks up dust, dirt, small rocks, anything I've thrown at it so far. I even dumped a pile of Quarter-sized flakes of dried Elmers glue on the carpet: Took a couple passes, but no problemo.
It might not pick up bobby pins, but I'll find that out sooner or later since my wife tends to lose those things everywhere... LoL.
My only real complaint is that the power cord is shorter than I would like, but even my previous full size vac didn't reach all the way across my studio apartment, so it's not a big deal, and you can buy a cheap extension cord at Walmart or OSH for just a few dollars.
Pros:
- Lightweight & easy to maneuver.
- Compact & easy to store.
- Cleans like a champ.
- Inexpensive.
Cons:
- Somewhat short power cord.
- Small canister (but you have to expect this on a stick vacuum).
- Doesn't do well on bare floor.
Overall I can't say enough good about this little beast. Even if I have to replace or repair it every couple years I think it'll be worth every penny.
I will update if my opinion changes :)
*UPDATE 9/2/13*
Now confirmed, it will pick up bobby pins instead of chucking them across the room like my last vacuum.
*Update 9/30/13*
Downgraded to 4 stars as it does not do well at all on bare floors.

this is meant for light cleaning not really meant to replace your bigger heavier vacuum . You can use it every day if you choose to do so my goal I
to have this light one up stairs do my hardwood and area rugs that is it. Before I had a hoover over the shoulder vac heavy and awkward you have to put a strap over your shoulder and not light still have it but hope I do not have to use at all or very little . My only complaint I wish that it went lower to the ground meaning it does not fit under my coffee end tables so you need a dust mop to get under there. And it does swivel but only a little it does not have a full swivel head . So those are my only little complaints . But I over look them because it does such a great job. And is light weight is key. Like when you need to do that quick clean up when someone is coming you want to be able to crab something light and easy so it does not wear you out and has power and does hardwood and carpet. This little gem is great lots of power does the job if there is any thing negative on here they are being picky. It is a low cost stick vacuum and does and amazing job. I have one in Florida was shocked how well it works and I now have one here in Niagara falls Canada .

OK, so here is the rundown as to whether you want this vacuum or not. If you want an underpowered vac which will only be used for quick jobs this might be for you. You know that game you play of "I'd rather go over the piece of garbage on the floor several more times rather than just pick of up?' You'll play that game a lot more with this vacuum than if you just got the real thing. It feels pretty cheap and while its very light, it feels light in that bad way of lacking substance and durability.
Having said all that, here is my list of pros for if you really are in the market for a small, lightweight, simple vacuum.
It has a switch to go between no brushroll (hard floors) and brushroll (carpets) and the brushroll works decently. Its nice and simple to empty. The cord is decently long so you can get a good sized area. Its very light so nothing you wouldn't mind grabbing out of the closet for a quick cleanup. It has a reasonable (but not great) low profile which can get halfway under furniture. (Expect to be able to vacuum about a foot and a half under the edges of a low bed, but definitely not getting to the middle.)
