I travel a lot and I've had good luggage and bad. This is middle of the road. The airlines are hard on luggage, and if you think that is bad, go on a cruise where they aren't afraid to drop a bag from 20 feet in the air. Zipper pulls will break off of anything, and handles have to be protected. On the plus side, this luggage has good material for good protection. The zippers are nylon, not metal, so don't fill compartments with lead. I really like the quick release holds on the tops of the 2 larger cases. I filled the second largest case to about 40 lbs, and the tie and quick release showed no problem in being hooked to a larger case (I was gone for almost 3 weeks). The rollers are good, but the handles are a bit flimsy. Again, I had overloaded it, so your results should be different. The large duffel is about the biggest that I have seen, and should be enough for a 3 day weekend. The middle one is a bit small, good for gym use, and the small one is about useless, about the size of a purse. The handles on all of the clutches seem to be of good strength, and material. Don't expect the protection of a vault, or the quality of Louis Vuitton, but for the money, these are good value.Read full review

I love the color, and although it is not Samsonite's best set of cases, it sure does hold up in quality. I travelled to Africa and back, and I love the duffel bag. The other cases also made it. I will probably continue investing in Samsonite for life.

I am in love with my new red luggage. Obviously i need counseling. But the bags -- five of them -- are so beautiful, and they promise to make negotiating the agonies of contemporary airports so much simpler, that I couldn't help losing my heart to them. Plus they'll be easy to spot in the baggage claim. Highly recommended.
