ASICS for life. Wear any other pair of shoes all day long, then slip these on at the end of your day (for comparison). It’s no contest. Zero foot pain, ever. Epic comfort - I put 17,000 steps in them in one day at an amusement park, and my feet were FINE. They were so comfortable that I didn’t even think about the condition of my feet at any time throughout the day. It just wasn’t an issue at all. I’ve returned to that same park 2 or 3 times a month for the last year, and they’ve been the best investment I’ve ever made. And they look mad crazy insanely sick. Yes yes yes. 5’8” 230lbs male (I couldn’t even imagine the comfort if I wasn’t overweight! It must be otherworldly)

I have been wearing Asics Men's GEL Sendai 3 Running shoes for several years. This is my third pair for sure, and maybe my fifth pair, I can't remember. The GEL Sendai 3 is an excellent trainer, good for all kinds of walking, for running, for almost any athletic endeavor. It is well made and very durable. More importantly it fits my foot.

This particular purchase was difficult. I tried Zappos first, but they had none. Finally I did a global search and ended up on Amazon. I seem to remember that Amazon had only one pair left in my size. It made me wonder if Asics was having trouble keeping up with demand, or if it was discontinuing this model. I hope it is the former and not the latter.

Responsive shoe for high mileage

This is a first impression of these shoes. I am a recreational distance runner. I am a neutral runner that puts in about 25-30 miles a week on the road. I like a stability plus shoe to take the beating of my longer runs. My favorite ASICS are the Kyano and GT 2000 lines. This shoe feels lighter than it looks. It has a very stable, forefoot section and a ton of gel in the heel area. It is going to take some time to sort out, but it a shoe that will need some breaking in for a while to be sure about it. The Sendai is more responsive than the Kyano at first blush, but more cushioned than the GT2000.

After a good hard run with these shoes I am impressed. Heel is both cushioned and well stabilized by external plastic strappings. I did not notice the heel reinforcement and found the heel comfortable. The forefoot section has a wide base and good cushioning. There is a big toe box that does very well for me without letting my foot slip around. The uppers fit well without any binding to date.

these are a great pair of running shoes,i usually wear kayanos but have been wanting to try sendais, and at less than half price is the perfect time to do it,they have more cushioning and gel then the kayanos and are very very comfortable,the lady who posted pictures with the back of these shoes wore down must drag her heal when walking and running,thats the only way a shoe could get wore down like that,(rediculous to blame asics).these are the best running shoes ive worn to date,high tech,topflight,as is all asics running shoes,there the best in the business,pick up a pair,you wont be disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh I love these. i have been wearing Asics for years. Most comfortable and durable shoe. Took a few days to break in but I had foot surgery. Comparable to the Kendesi that I wanted to get but half the cost. They run about a 1/2 size smaller so I put somewhat smaller for information. Said I should get the 8.5 but got the 9 and they fit perfect. I had ordered a womans 10 and they were too small. I have never worn anything larger but was told some models run a half size smaller or larger. It depends on the model. I chose the men's shoe over the woman's for the wider width. The colors are nice and have received compliments on them already.

I had a knee replacement in 2012 - my right leg pronation was corrected form 17% to neutral - Finding the correct shoe bed that offered the correct support, cushioning and pronation neutrality has been a challenge. ASIC Gel has always been my first choice for durability and support. To that end I have used and still own the ASIC Kinsai 2, GEL Kayano, GT-2000 and 1170. I recently purchased the GEL-Sendai 2 which are now my favorite. The Sendai offers incredible heel support and stride cushioning while remaining pronation neutral - a feature my back, calves, shins and feet really appreciate.

I ran for 4 miles and it felt very good. I had some foot problems and looks like these shoes fixed it. I used to run in asic Kinseis, and I think these are better than the Kinseis.

Amazing aesthetics but nowhere near the reliability of the Nimbus model

I had previously owned a pair of ASICS Nimbus shoes for 4 years that held up extremely well until I ran them to shreds, and those alone made me swear to only buy ASICS going forward. The Sendai was the 2nd pair of ASICS I decided to go with, in part because of the design which I thought looked incredible and my previous experience with the Nimbus. Unfortunately, I have owned these for less than 2 years and it's already time to move on to something else. The shoes felt fine enough when I first bought them, but somewhere past the first year there was heavy wear inside the shoe that led to blisters on the inside of my foot arch where the cushion wore off and the bottom material rubbed straight on my foot. Recently I've had runs shortened by the pain of repeatedly having the shoe damage my foot in that area, so I'm moving on. Might give the Nimbus a shot again but definitely won't be sticking with the Gel-Sendai.
